ISLAMABAD - With Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat

Hussain set to send references against its eight lawmakers to NA Speaker Fehmida Mirza today (Thursday) under the defection clause 63-A, PML-Likeminded Secretary-Information Kashmala Tariq has questioned Shujaat’s authority as the “party head”, saying Article 63-A would only be applicable after next election.

“Under the direction of the party chief Shujaat Hussain, our lawyer SM Zafar will submit the references against the party’s eight defecting lawmakers under Article 63-A to NA speaker today,” a source said.

This would be the first case to be examined by the NA speaker as well as new Chief Election Commissioner Justice (r) Fakharuddin G Ebrahim.

Ebrahim would face a test as he was nominated by the PML-N that is an ally of the PML-LM, whose five MNAs are facing disqualification. All eight members of the National Assembly who were elected on the PML-Q ticket in 2008 election had abstained from voting for Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf against party’s decision to support the PPP’s nominee.

A source in the PML-Q told Pakistan Today that the party leadership had decided to send references against the party violators in view of the recent developments. “The party leadership has decided to send references against including Kashmala Tariq, Amir Muqam, Krishan Chand Perwani, Ghulam Haider Samijo, Humayun Saifullah Khan, Khadim Hussain Wattoo, Asim Nazir Jutt and Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari under defection clause as none of them have responded to our show-cause notices served on them until August 2, the deadline mentioned in the notices.

Now, they would have to face the music,” PML-Q Deputy-Secretary Information Mustafa Malik told Pakistan Today. He said that the party’s leadership, including Adviser to PM Basharat Raja, Women’s Wing President Farrukh Khan, Faqir Hussain Bokhari and others remained in the PML House on Thursday afternoon, but they received no response from any of the lawmakers in question. “However, Krishan Chan Perwani and Kashmala Tariq’s rejoinders were received at around 4pm after the deadline had lapsed. Hence, disciplinary action has been initiated against all eight lawmakers,” he said. Malik said Sumaira Malik and Dr Donya Aziz had also avoided the prime minister’s election but both of them had informed the party leadership about their prior plans to visit abroad. Sumaira was in Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah while Donya Aziz was in the US when Ashraf was elected the prime minister.

Islamabad: (Friday, July 06, 2012) Shazia Marri of Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) has taken oath as Member of National Assembly here today when the house began its session. Marri, after death of PPP’s MNA Fauzia Wahab’s death, had
contested from her constituency.

Marri’s oath was administered by Speaker Assembly Dr Fehmida Mirza when the session began today. Meanwhile the chair announced the panel of the presiding officers for the current sessions.

The panel includes Abdul Ghafoor Chaudhary, Zafar Baig Bhittani, Abdul Qadir Patel, Riaz Fatyana, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Khushbakht Shujaat.

Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that Chaudhry brothers can go to any extreme to get the power and they don’t care for moral values. In a statement on Wednesday, Rana Sanaullah said that Chaudhrys were trying to politicise the loadshedding issue and they were using all tactics to demoralise the PML-N Punjab government. He said that Q-League’s Quaid Chaudhry Shujaat’s statement regarding loadshedding was betraying the nation. To blame Punjab government for loadshedding in the province was attempt to defame the N-League and to hide the failures of the lateral party during its regime. Rana Sanaullah said that the federal government itself has rejected Shujaat’s formula to end loadshedding crisis in the country.

Early life

Reema Khan was born in Lahore,in 1971.Pakistan.[2] She was first spotted in 1990 by the Pakistani film director Javed Fazil and was offered the supporting role in his film Bulandi.

Khan started her film career in 1990 through Javed Fazil’s Bulandi.
Khan's early films included Zherilay, Ishq, Naag Devta, Pyar hi pyar, Sailab, Dil, Aag, Shama and Sahiba.
These were followed by films such as Hina, Anjuman, Chakuri, Chandni, Neelam and Insaniat. Later she appeared in Hathi Meray Sathi directed by Shameem Ara and in Rani Beti Raj Karegi directed by Altaf Hussain.
In 2002, Asif Ali Pota’s Fire and Samina Peerzada’s Shararat were released.
She was the first Pakistani actress to be signed by Pepsi Co., Pakistan for their series of advertisements. She has now become an official partner of the Lahore zoo.

former cricketer, he has played international cricket for two decades in the late twentieth century. After retiring, he entered politics, besides his political activism, Khan is also a philanthropist, cricket commentator, Chancellor of the University of Bradford and Founding Chairman Board of Governors of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre.
He was Pakistan's most successful cricket captain, and played for the Pakistani cricket team from 1971 to 1992 and served as its captain intermittently throughout 1982–1992.[1] After retiring from cricket at the end of the 1987 World Cup, in 1988 due to popular public demand he was requested to come back by the President of Pakistan to lead the team once again. At 39, Khan led his teammates to Pakistan's first and only World Cup victory in 1992. He has a record of 3807 runs and 362 wickets in Test cricket, making him one of eight world cricketers to have achieved an 'All-rounder's Triple' in Test matches.[2] On 14 July 2010, Khan was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame.[3]

Sahibzada Mohammad Shahid Khan Afridi (Urdu: صاحبزادہ محمد شاہد خان آفریدی) (born 1 March 1980 in Khyber Agency of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas, Pakistan[3]), popularly known as Shahid Afridi (Pashto: شاهد ‏افریدی), is a Pakistani cricketer. Between 1996 and 2012, Afridi played 27 Tests, 334 One Day Internationals, and 46 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) for the Pakistani national team. He made his ODI debut on 2 October 1996 against Kenya and his Test debut on 22 October 1998 against Australia.
He is known for his aggressive batting style,[4] and holds the record for the fastest ODI century which he made in his first international innings, as well as scoring 32 runs in a single over, the second highest scoring over ever in an ODI.[5] He also holds the distinction of having hit the most number of sixes in the history of ODI cricket.[6] Afridi considers himself a better bowler than batsman, and has taken 48 Test wickets and over 300 in ODIs. Currently Afridi is the leading wicket taker in the Twenty20 format taking 53 wickets from 43 matches.
In June 2009, Afridi took over the Twenty20 captaincy from Younus Khan, and was later appointed ODI captain for the 2010 Asia Cup. In his first match as ODI captain against Sri Lanka he scored a century however Pakistan still lost by 16 runs. He then also took over the Test captaincy but resigned after one match in charge citing lack of form and ability to play Test cricket; at the same time he announced his retirement from Tests. He retained the captaincy in limited-overs form of the game and led the team in the 2011 World Cup. In May 2011, having led Pakistan in 34 ODIs Afridi was replaced as captain. Later that month he announced his conditional retirement from international cricket in protest against his treatment by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB); in October he reversed his decision. UNICEF and Pakistani authorities have taken Shahid Afridi on board for its anti-polio campaign in the tribal belt of lawless Waziristan region.
